How do I figure out my size?

Darity garments are designed for mothers across phases of pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Each product comes with a sizing chart with measurements you can reference for recommendations. We fit our product on real women (not mannequins!), but we recognize and celebrate that each woman’s body is unique and beautiful. We use stretch fabric and structured design so that you don’t have to worry as much about finding the one perfect size. We also have fit notes in the product description so you can get a feel of what other customers are sharing.

We do not simply say to go with your pre-pregnancy size, as we believe that can be frustrating and misleading to moms. We suggest referencing your 1) pre-pregnancy and 2) current measurements to see which size on the sizing chart may best provide you longer term support and enjoyment. Remember that the abdomen section of all our garments will accommodate lots of growth!

Generally, we support organizations that are committed to 1) lobbying for federal paid family leave (maternity and paternity) and 2) bringing awareness, solutions, and support to maternal wellness (physical, mental, emotional).

What sustainability efforts do you incorporate?

Darity works hard to integrate sustainability across our products, packaging, and supply chain:

As a wardrobe capsule collection, we seek to provide you with a minimalist option to your everyday staples. We seek to blur seasons and use classic designs to avoid the fast-fashion trends of “in today, out tomorrow”. We seek to reduce wasted fabric, wasted (lack of) space in your closet, and wasted time sorting through hundreds of selections.
Many of our fabrics are considered eco-fiber (Lyocell), natural fibers (Cotton), and/or recycled fibers (Recycled Nylon) that are less harmful to the environment and sustainably produced. We also choose fabric/technology known in the industry for quality, durability, and resilience.
Our packaging is intentionally designed to be recyclable and compostable. Our tissue paper, shipping envelopes, shipping boxes, gift packaging, marketing flyers, shipping tape, printing ink, and shipping labels can all safely be reused, recycled, or composted.
We are completely tagless. We save the waste of the plastic and paper tags – and you don’t have to worry about cutting those off!

What performance features are included in your products?

On each product page, you’ll see the top performance features included in the garment. By performance, we try to balance the performance of fabric with natural feel, comfort, and breathability. Our garments seek to provide the following types of performance features: 2/4 way stretch, antibacterial, biodegradable, breathable, light compression, moisture resistant, moisture wicking, UV protection, washable, wrinkle resistant, and OEKO-TEX Certified .

What is OEKO-TEX® certification?

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety. In the test they take into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health. We chose to prioritize this in our fabric selections because you may be wearing these clothes all day, all night, multiple days – and we wanted to make the products safe on your body and safe when baby gums on your shoulder 😊

How do I care for my DARITY products?

We always recommend washing all DARITY products with care. Please refer to the care tag in your garment or specific product page on our website for exact washing instructions.

Generally, washing cold on delicate cycle and air drying will always maximize the longevity of any performance fabrics.

Do you have partnerships with other brands, influencers, or retailers?

We welcome partnerships with other brands and influencers – we view Darity as a brand that connects with the motherhood community and see many opportunities to bring collaborative products and benefits to our customers! We are currently a direct to consumer brand but also have partnerships with other retailers that support empowering women-owned brands!

How do exchanges and returns work?

How do I return a gift?

We offer store credit for gift returns. Simply email support@darity.co and we'll get your gift return started for you. Digital gift cards are non-refundable.
